  3. Clearance under bed for patient lift base?
  4. Will patient lift be used on thick carpet?
  5. Are care givers familiar with patient lift operation?
  6. Does client have sensitive skin?
  7. Does sling need head support or commode feature?

Key Patient Lift Points

  1. If patient lift is going under a bed then clearance height is a key issue.
  2. If lift will be used for lifting a person up off the floor then the lowest boom height on the patient lift is an issue.
  3. If the person being lifted is tall then the boom range of patient lift is an issue.
  4. If you are planning to move the patient lift then the overall weight is important.
  5. Turning radius and length of the patient lift could be a key point if you are using the lift in a bathroom or putting the lift on a van lift.
